# Key Governance Parameters

* **Quorum:** Minimum percentage of total voting power required for a proposal to pass (e.g., 20% of staked tokens).
* **Approval Threshold:** Percentage of votes in favor required for a proposal to be approved (e.g., 51%).
* **Timelocks:** Major changes, such as smart contract upgrades, are delayed by a timelock period (e.g., 2 days) to allow additional scrutiny.
