# Roadmap

Nebula is committed to delivering a fully decentralized and scalable lending protocol with a clear development roadmap. Below is the outlined timeline of key milestones that guide the development of the protocol:

#### 2024 July – **Inception**

* The conceptualization and initial development of Nebula began in July 2024, marking the official inception of the protocol.

#### 2024 October – **V1 Testnet**

* Nebula’s Version 1 Testnet is set to go live in October 2024. This phase will focus on testing core functionalities, smart contract security, and the initial user experience.

#### 2024 Q4 – **V1 Mainnet**

* In the fourth quarter of 2024, Nebula will officially launch its V1 Mainnet. This will introduce the foundational lending functionalities, enabling users to lend and borrow assets on the Niburu chain.

#### 2024 Q4 – **Yield Tranching & High APR Pools**

* Alongside the mainnet launch, Nebula will release the **yield tranching** feature, along with access to high-APR pools. These features will allow users to participate in advanced yield farming strategies, boosting returns based on the risk tiers they choose.

#### 2025 Q1 – **DEX LP Collateralization**

* In the first quarter of 2025, Nebula will expand its collateral options by allowing **DEX liquidity pool (LP) tokens** to be used as collateral for borrowing. This will open up new liquidity avenues and enhance DeFi interoperability within the ecosystem.

#### 2025 Q2 – **Social Lending**

* By Q2 2025, Nebula will introduce **social lending** features. These will allow users to create or join lending circles and engage in peer-to-peer lending with custom terms. The social lending model aims to foster community-driven financial solutions, offering more flexibility for users within trusted circles.
