# Long-Term Decentralization

Nebula governance is designed to gradually decentralize:

* **Initial Phase:** The protocol’s core team will guide decision-making to ensure stability.
* **Gradual Transition:** Over time, control will transition entirely to the community through increased staking and voting participation.
